This is my sons' binky, while he was playing I decided to grab my camera & snap a few pictures of him & just goofing off I took a few of his binky as well. I just wish I could figure out what that black mass is to the right of it. Whatever it is, is blocking out the light. Hopefully, it's just one of God's angels watching over my Monkey.

I got this idea from a fellow blogger & thought what a great idea it was!!!

5 question friday! oh yeah!
Rules for 5QF: Copy and paste the following questions to your blog post, answer them, then watch for the linky to appear Friday morning! And make sure you have fun!
Questions for Friday, February 11th: (Special thanks to Sandy, Rachel, Pam, Rene, and Colleen for their question suggestions! If you would like to be linked in a future 5QF, c'mon over to my community and offer up your best question suggestions! Feel free to shout 'em out on Twitter, too, if you'd like! Hashtag, #5QF, and @5crookedhalos me! [i.e What's your favorite color? #5QF @5crookedhalos])
1. Would you rather be on ABC's Extreme Home MakeOver or TLC's What not to Wear?
Well, I don't really need the EHM but I would love to help out on that sort of thing! I would LOVE to go onto TLC's What NOT to Wear! lol...and that is because I DO need a whole new wardrobe! I need to relearn what to wear & what to NOT wear!
2. Do you have any tattoos?
No. I've always thought of getting a tattoo here & there; but I've never been brave enough to actually go threw with it. And I'm not too sure if I ever will to be honest with you.
3. Do you tell your kids about things you did growing up?
Well, my son will be 1yrs old on Monday (Valentine's Day), so at this point in time I do ramble off about weird things to him & he babbles back or just laughs at me. But, I think when the time does come, I hope that I'm as honest as I can be with my children. I think that the more honest & open you are with your children the more they're willing to be open & honest with you. If you pretend that you're a 'goody two-shoes' then they're going to be afraid to confide in you. I just hope when the day comes, I can be honest & open with my son. There's a few things that should be left alone until they are old enough to understand.
4. If the traffic signal turns yellow, do you stop or speed up?
Well, it depends on the weather, traffic & my mood. Lately, I've stopped. I guess the whole having your baby in the backseat has got me being more careful. I'm not a ranting lunatic on the road anymore. Well, not nearly as much as I used to be! lol The only time I have mega outbursts is when you put my sons' life in danger, then I'm a ranting lunatic! lol
And plus, with all those red light camera's being put everywhere, I'd rather not take any chances. Not worth the ticket!
5. What's your preference: chocolate or chips?
Hmm ... when I read this at first I read: chocolate chips...then of course I had to re-read the entire question over again. LOL
Again, depends on my mood, if I'm in a salty mood then chips (which we rarely have chips to begin with!) if I'm in a sweet mood then chocolate. But yes, I do love chocolate chips too!!! ;o)

1. Where did you meet your spouse and did you instantly know it was love?
We met in youth group at the school I went to. And no, I didn't believe in love back then. When I finally realized I was in love with him, which was about a year down the road, I had dreamed about the future with him. But, DEFINITELY not instantly! lol
2. What is your favorite room in your house?
Well, the room that I spend 99.99% of my time, is my living room. So, I'd have to say that the living room is my most favorite. This is where my son plays, and we interact most of the time as a family. We also go into our master bedroom & shut the door & turn the t.v. on & lay on the bed watching t.v. And sometimes my monkey will play in the room, which is why we shut the door lol, or he'll lay with us in bed... or climb all over us! lol
3. Can you wiggle your ears?
Haha!!! Yes! I remember back when my biological Father taught me how to do that. lol
In fact, I remember that whole lesson he gave me, it was so hard to do back then...but you could see he was so excited to teach me how to do it... one of the very few funny, fun times I had w/him.
4. What is your evening ritual?
Well, that depends on if I go to work or not. If I don't go to work then it's pretty simple. I just usually do what I had been doing a couple hours prior & play with monkey, teach him all the great things life has to offer & then when he grows tired put him down to sleep. Well, that might change now, since I've been doing a different routine since work has started back up. When we are working, which has been a lot lately; we get home & I take a shower & then I give monkey a wash too & then afterwards we eat dinner. Then, we play some, & then I eventually get tired. In the mix of playing, we'll just call him Daddy for now, lmao, Daddy has been making dinner & after we eat dinner he usually watches some t.v. before going in the bedroom. Around 10pm-ish, monkey will want some milk & I'll give it to him. And then, we've been rockin in my Grandma's old recliner, it rocks back & forth when it's not reclined. So, after that, Monkey snuggles right up to me & 20mins of rocking back & forth...he's out. Then, I get 'me' time & no matter how tired I am...I always seem to become wide awake by 11pm.... and I watch my shows & do my thing online at the same time...until I fall asleep...whenever that may be sometimes. lol
Lately, I've been falling asleep w/the lap top in my lap & waking up when it burns me! lol
5. How many hours of sleep do you need to function?
Most don't believe me when I tell them, but I've been able to only sleep 2-3hrs & function doing manual labor the whole next day & I'm talking 14hrs of straight labor!
Now, on the other hand,,, I can sleep however long one will let me...when the sun comes up, til the sun goes down. It's nighttime that I have the problem sleeping.

5QF, the last one of 2010!!!!
1. How long does your Christmas tree stay up?
***Well, since we didn't get ours until pretty late, I'd have to say it'll stay up pretty late...that is until it's pretty dead. LOL, I love my Christmas trees, so I never really pull any of it down until it's dead. lol

2. Do you have plans for New Year's Eve?
***My original plans were to go out with some friends, I just wasn't for sure which group of friends I wanted to go out with. But, after having a long talk with my husband & my son being sick & only wanting me; I decided it was best to just stay in. My hubby promised he'd stay up with me, and I'd go buy a bottle of champagne to celebrate the new year. That way I can give my monkey a kiss too! ;o)

3. Do you have any New Year's resolutions?
***I tried to come up with some resolutions; but since I don't smoke anymore... I don't really have anything but to continue to grow. Grow stronger, grow as a wife, a Mother, a daughter, a friend, a sister, a grand daughter, to grow closer to God again. But, I think that's all I can really come up with.

4. How did you spend New Year's Eve when you were younger?
***Well, I can only remember when I started celebrating, and that was when I was in 8th grade. But, I usually spent it with family & friends. Most of my family & friends are in a different county or state, so it's hard to want to go for the long drive just for a few drinks & watch the ball drop.

5. What was the best way you've ever spent New Year's Eve?
***I think it was a few years ago at a house party, I was with my husband & some friends that were easy to be around, especially when they were drunk, and it was just fun, easy, silly, fun.

Are you thankful?
I never thought I would be so hands on; and wanting to do so many cute little crafts. I've never been more excited about spending a holiday then I am NOW!!! From my point, I can't understand why someone wouldn't want to spend it w/their children & close family. Why you would just blow the people you love off, unless you just don't celebrate, period.
I'm totally giddy it's ridiculous! I've gotten everything that I've asked for this Christmas & then some! And I'm not just talking about the fancy property that I have. It's not about the rings, the phone, the purses, or the name brands; I'm talking about my family.
I've wanted to quit a few times over these last several months. Having to live life in this hectic world is crazy & hard enough w/o bringing a baby into it. I've put every single need of his before my own, as I believe every Mother should. James & myself haven't argued in about a year & a half. We bicker, some people think we're serious, but we're totally not. And after Aj was born, things just were strained for awhile. I was constantly tired, and then working on top of my 24/7 job with Aj didn't help. James didn't quite understand what my job entailed, until he was stuck watching Aj overnight w/o me. James said he wasn't sure if he wanted children. In his exact words he has said "Everybody that I know makes parenthood seem like hell, they are more then willing to drop their child off with who ever will watch it; they are always itching to go out & party. And that's how it's always been. So I wasn't fond of the idea of becoming a Dad because they always said it was nothing but a burden."
Which is sad to be honest, because everybody in my family (for the most part) loves their children to the ends of the earth (since this world is ROUND, we know what that means). Nobody in my family has ever said having children is nothing but a burden; they said it would be hard & that it is hard.
So, that's why we were strained; I enjoyed every minute of it & James on the other hand was weary about the whole situation.
Things have gotten much better. We both know that we have been to hell & back; we can push threw anything together! And we did!
Things are still pretty rough sometimes, but I think we both are optimistic that we can be successful in this marriage. We finally went on a date (w/o Monkey) and that was glorious! We have vowed each day to not argue; if we start to, we just walk away until we're calm. lmao but now I've got a punching bag; so I just go beat up on that a few minutes & I'm good to go! lmao!
I have everything to be thankful for this Christmas. For one, I have God, whom without in my life, our lives would NOT be here & we would not be able to make this relationship work. 2nd I have the best gift any woman/mother could ever ask for & that's my Monkey. My pride, my joy, my life. I've never known you could love someone so much in such a way. 3rd I have my husband, who sometimes I'd like tostrangle, I know no matter what thick & thin, sickness & health, richer or poorer, til death do us a part, will always love me & be there, here, for me. 4th I have woman's best friend & that's my 3bratty as heck dogs; who will always love me & I will love them no matter how much they don't want to listen! 5th I have my Mom, my Dad, my Sister, who I also know will always be there for me no matter what as they have always been. And lastly my family in CA, even though they are so far away I know no matter what if I truly need them, I can always count on them.
So yes, I've already gotten my Christmas presents early from James & Monkey, I got some perfume & lotion & a phone & a upgraded ring set, and this wonderful house to live in....but my true gifts & blessings are my family & God.
I'm looking forward to having James' family here in my home for Christmas, and hopefully my friend & his wife will also make it up.
If no one else came for Christmas I would be A-Okay with it; because I know that I'm already blessed.

5QF
1. Do you open presents on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day?
2. What is your favorite Christmas cookie (or candy)?
3. What's the worst Christmas gift you've ever received?
4. Christmas song that you love?
5. How many trees do you put up?
One.
I remember several years back my Dad got me a mini Christmas tree to put up in my window. I thought it was the coolest thing EVER that they had a 'me size' Christmas tree. I will NEVER forget that year! So, when Aj gets older, I'd love to be able to get him his own Christmas tree for his room! Make him feel as special as my Dad made me feel that year! <3
In the past years living under my parents' roof, we've done something called Chinese gift exchange & that's been our gift that we open on Christmas Eve. Then on Christmas morning after we've had breakfast, we've all sat down & opened presents as a family.
I think I would like to continue to do something like that & carry that throughout the years as our children grow older. It's nice to grow up having certain traditions you follow as a family.
2. What is your favorite Christmas cookie (or candy)?
I don't think it's really candy as much as it is the fudge. That's about the one thing that I look forward to during Christmastime is the fudge. I think the reason it tastes so yummy, is because it's usually the only time I have it! lol
3. What's the worst Christmas gift you've ever received?
I'm sure if I thought long & hard about it, I could think of a bad gift... or a bad time during a joyful holiday like Christmas... but thanks to my Mom...all I have are good memories about Christmas. Because of my Mom, when I think of Christmas I think of family & love. I didn't grow up around lots of money where there was always a ton of money; so I never expected much or anything at all & I still don't to this day. I think as long as you have family & the love of God...there's no such thing as a bad gift on such a joyous holiday.
4. Christmas song that you love?
I will have to search on YouTube for that answer. I'm not sure of the name of the song...and I can't think of any of the words...but ever since I can remember when I hear that song, I think of Christmas.
5. How many trees do you put up?
